RAWLINGS WEEK 27 NCSA DI TOP 20

The spring portion of the NCSA is in full-swing and a new NCSA DI Top 20 Poll is upon us!  No change to the Top 4 Teams from the previous poll, which means the Wolverines from Michigan hold onto their top spot, earning 9 of the 12 first-place votes.  Illinois and James Madison round out the top 3 NCSA DI teams.

Three new teams join the Top 20.  Florida Atlantic and UC Davis make their first appearance in the Top 20 this year while North Carolina jumps back in after being unranked since Week 5.

Lot’s of movement this month from the previous poll, so be sure to check out the Rawlings Week 27 NCSA DI Top 20

ROSTER REMOVAL PERIOD

The NCSA allows teams to remove up to 8 players from their roster for any reason during the week long period of February 21-28.  This provides teams the opportunity for more roster flexibility for the spring portion of the season. Teams do NOT need to remove players if they do not wish to.  Again, this is simply an opportunity for teams to gain more roster spots to add new players if they don’t have the room to otherwise do so.  The roster maximum is 25 players.

If a team does wish to remove players, they must submit a signed document listing the players they would like to remove.  The document needs to be signed by two team officers and their faculty advisor (i.e. Club Sports Director).

RAWLINGS WEEK 11 NCSA DI TOP 20

The University of Michigan will close out the fall portion of the 2024-2025 NCSA DI season as the #1 Team in the country heading into the break with a 14-1 record (8-1 Conference).  The top 4 stay put, but after an impressive showing at the Asheville Fall Tournament and sporting an unblemished 14-0 (9-0 conference) record, the Wolfpack from NC State join the Top 5.

So other moving and shaking but most notably is two newcomers to the Top 20 as we close out the fall.  Coastal Carolina (9-0, 9-0) and Boise State (8-1, 5-1) join the party.  When you have two new teams, that means, two teams drop out of the top 20.  Who are they?  You’ll have to see for yourself.  Check out the Rawlings Week 11 NCSA DI Top 20.

Next Poll Released: Spring 2025; Exact Date TBD

RAWLINGS WEEK 9 NCSA DI TOP 20

After a sweep of conference foe Central Michigan this past weekend and closing their fall season out with only 1 loss, the University of Michigan (8-1, 14-1) are the new #1 team in the NCSA DI.  Interesting enough, Michigan only received 5 first place votes compared to Illinois’ 11, but finished 2 points higher in the rankings.  James Madison stayed at #3, and Sacred Heard and Air Force helped round out the top 5.

Lot’s of movement in the Rawlings Week 9 NCSA DI Top 20, but only one team dropped out.  The University of Maryland moved from #19 to unranked which allowed newcomer Ohio State to join the Top 20 Party.  Ohio State is having a nice start to their season, sitting at 6-0 after sweeping #17 Kentucky in conference play.

One more Top 20 will be released for the fall portion of the season, then we’ll take a break until we get started back up for the spring portion of the season.

Next Poll Released: 11/21/24
