ROSTER REMOVAL PERIOD

The NCSA allows teams to remove up to 8 players from their roster for any reason during the week long period of February 21-28.  This can provide teams to opportunity for more roster flexibility for the spring portion of the season. Teams do NOT need to remove players if they do not wish to.  Again, this is simply an opportunity for teams to gain more roster spots to add new players if they don’t have the room to otherwise do so.  The roster maximum is 25 players.

If a team does wish to remove players, they must submit a signed document listing the players they would like to remove.  The document needs to be signed by two team officers and their faculty advisor (i.e. Club Sports Director).

The NCSA does not require a certain format for the player removal document, nor do they have a sample to provide teams.

RAWLINGS WEEK 12 NCSA DI TOP 20

Another Top 20 released and another new #1!  This time it’s the Badgers from Wisconsin sitting atop the rankings with an unblemished 9-0 record.  Wisconsin is now the 4th different team to claim the #1 spot this year and we just wrapped up the fall portion of the season.  Compare that to last year where we only had 2 different teams reach the top of the rankings (VT and Sacred Heart).

Wisconsin closes out the fall portion of the season at #1 in the Rawlings Week 12 NCSA DI Top 20 closely followed by Air Force only 4 points behind.  A lot of respect given to Air Force as they received by far the most first place votes with 9.  Virginia Tech, Iowa and Michigan State round out the Top 5 and Delaware, Colorado and UNC join the dancefloor coming in at 19 and 20 respectively.

Enjoy the holidays and the next Rawlings NCSA DI Top 20 will be released: 2/1/24.
