DISCIPLINARY ACTION

Gonzaga University Club Softball Team has been placed on probation for the remainder of the 2023-2024 NCSA DI Season.  They violated NCSA Rule 19.01.0.  They forfeited  3 conference games to the University of Oregon during Week 23 of the NCSA Season.

ROSTER REMOVAL PERIOD

The NCSA allows teams to remove up to 8 players from their roster for any reason during the week long period of February 21-28.  This can provide teams to opportunity for more roster flexibility for the spring portion of the season. Teams do NOT need to remove players if they do not wish to.  Again, this is simply an opportunity for teams to gain more roster spots to add new players if they don’t have the room to otherwise do so.  The roster maximum is 25 players.

If a team does wish to remove players, they must submit a signed document listing the players they would like to remove.  The document needs to be signed by two team officers and their faculty advisor (i.e. Club Sports Director).

The NCSA does not require a certain format for the player removal document, nor do they have a sample to provide teams.

RAWLINGS WEEK 23 NCSA DI TOP 20

Not many changes in this weeks Rawlings Week 23 NCSA DI Top 20.  Wisconsin still remains on top with the U.S. Air Force Academy and Virginia Tech right behind them.  Some minor moves within the Top 20, but no new additions or teams falling out in this weeks poll.

RAWLINGS WEEK 21 NCSA DI TOP 20

No surprise here as the University of Wisconsin remains the #1 Team in the Rawlings Week 21 NCSA DI Top 20.  Very few games were played since the last poll was released so much of the Top 20 stays the same with just little shakeups here and there.

One newcomer does join the pack.  The University of South Carolina jumps into the Top 20 making their debut at 19.
