RAWLINGS PRESEASON NCSA TOP 20

No surprises here.  After B2B National Championships, Virginia Tech remains the #1 Team in the Nation to start the 2023-2024 campaign.  The Hokies received 17 of 18 first place votes with the Iowa Hawkeyes receiving the only other 1st place vote which helped them come in at #2.  Clemson, JMU, and a tie between Michigan State and Oregon in the #5 spot round out the top 5.

Check out the Rawlings Preseason NCSA Top 20 Poll to see if your team made it into the Top 20.

Next Poll Release: 9/28/23

SOUTH ATLANTIC TEAM PREVIEWS

The South Atlantic was one of the toughest Regions in the country last year boasting 4 teams in the Top 20 with Georgia, Clemson, NC State and Florida State.  With NC State moving to the Mid-Atlantic after realignments, who will take their place?  This year, the top 2 teams from the South Atlantic North and South Atlantic South will move onto Regionals.  Will Clemson and Georgia be back from the North?  Florida State from the South?  How about Florida?  A new year is upon us and it should be exciting.  Check out the South Atlantic Team Previews to see who you think will be representing the South Atlantic in Columbus, GA this year.

PACIFIC TEAM PREVIEWS

In 2023, UC Davis outlasted Oregon 9-8 in the Championship Game of the Pacific Regional, winning the Region and punching their ticket along with Oregon to the 2023 NCSA World Series.  Oregon had a better showing at the World Series going 2-2 in the elimination portion while UC-Davis went 0-2.  Will that provide motivation for both programs to get back to the World Series in 2024 or will someone else take their place?  Check out the Pacific Team Previews to make your decision.

NORTH ATLANTIC TEAM PREVIEWS

Last year the North Atlantic Region was dominated by Sacred Heart University.  Heading into the North Atlantic Regional, Sacred Heart was voted as the #1 team in the country and after winning the North Atlantic, were voted #1 headed into the 2023 NCSA World Series with an unblemished record.

This year, after realignment, Sacred Heart is no longer in the North Atlantic, but historically good teams like the U.S. Naval Acdemy and Maryland have joined.  Penn State and Delaware are still North Atlantic members, so 2023-2024 could be a very competitive year in the NAR.  Ultimatly, only one North Atlantic Champion will be crowned.  Who will it be?  Check out the North Atlantic Regional Team Previews to find out!

NEW ENGLAND TEAM PREVIEWS

Maine won the New England Region in 2023 after defeating UConn in the New England Regional Championship Game.  Both teams had great seasons but wish they had better outcomes in Columbus at the 2023 World Series.  With those finishes last year, will it provide motivation to come out of the New England once again in 2024 or is there a new set of teams looking to topple the Huskies and Black Bears?

Find out by checking out the New England Team Previews.

MID-AMERICA TEAM PREVIEWS

The Mid-America Region produced the surprise of the 2023 NCSA World Series with the University of Iowa.  Iowa made their first ever appearance at the NCSA World Series and didn’t disappoint.  After exciting wins over top seeded Georgia and Clemson, Iowa ultimately fell to Virginia Tech in the Championship Game.  Will Iowa pick up where they left off and take home the Mid-America Crown once again in 2024 or will another team take home the championship?  Check out the Mid-America Team Previews to find out!

MID-ATLANTIC TEAM PREVIEWS

The Mid-Atlantic produced the current back-to-back National Champions, the Virginia Tech Hokies in 2022 and 2023.  Will they have what it takes to take home the Mid-Atlantic Crown in 2024?

Updated realignments bring in a very competitive crop of teams out of North Carolina and South Carolina into the mix in the Mid-Atlantic.  Will NC State have something to say?  What about UNC?  Should be an exciting conference season and Regional Tournament.  Who will represent the Mid-Atlantic in Columbus, GA in 2024?  Check out the Mid-Atlantic Team Previews to decide.

GREAT AMERICAN/GREAT LAKES TEAM PREVIEWS

In 2023, Michigan State defeated Illinois in the Great American Regional Championship, while in the Great Lakes, Grand Valley State took down Wisconsin.

With realignment changes for 23/24 who will come out on top in the Great American Region?  With Michigan State no longer in the Great American Region, will Illinois take home the championship and punch their ticket to Columbus, GA or will newcomers to the region like Pitt or Ohio State win it all?  In the Great Lakes will Michigan State continue to dominate or will their rivals Michigan have something to say?  Will Grand Valley repeat or will Wisconsin take it all?  Lot’s of really good teams in the Great Lakes and Great American Regions.  Check out both the Great Lakes and Great American Team Previews to see who you think will punch their ticket to Columbus in 2024.
