RAWLINGS FEBRUARY NCSA TOP 20

Another Top 20 and once again, Virginia Tech holds onto the top spot earning 11 first place votes.  But, in other Top 20 news, Sacred Heart University-Red pushes past Michigan State and Wisconsin and settles themselves into the #2 spot while earning 2 first place votes themselves.  Air Force stays put in the 5th position with Michigan inching closer but just outside the Top 5 in the Rawlings February NCSA Top 20.

The spring season is upon us and there will be a lot more moving and shaking happening in the upcoming polls, so be sure to check back.

SALISBURY BECOMES FIRST NCSA D2 TEAM

In less than 24 hours after announcing the NCSA expanding to Division II for the 23/24 season, the first official NCSA DII Team is announced!  Salisbury University becomes the first NCSA DII Team after taking advantage of the early new team sign up period.

All new teams no matter the size of the school will start at the Division II level, if Division II is offered in their area.

NCSA OPENING D2 FOR 23/24 SEASON

After many years of continual growth, the NCSA is thrilled to announce that Division II will open for the 23/24 season.

NCSA EXTENDS 3-YEARS WITH COLUMBUS, GA

In addition to the upcoming 2023 NCSA World Series, Columbus Georgia and South Commons Softball Complex will remain host for the 2024, 2025 and 2026 NCSA World Series after a 3-year extension was signed.

RAWLINGS DECEMBER NCSA TOP 20

Virginia Tech still sits atop the Rawlings December NCSA Top 20 grabbing eight 1st place votes but Wisconsin and Michigan State are not far behind.  The Badgers and Spartans join Sacred Heart-Red and Air Force to round out the Top 5.  Sacred Heart-Red making a big jump in the polls earning two 1st place votes after clinching a playoff spot with an unblemished record.

GVSU and Maine join the Top 20 Party while JMU and Iowa make exits.  Quite a bit of movement, so be sure to check out where your team lands.

DISCIPLINARY ACTION

Iona University and St. Louis University have been placed on probation for the remainder of the 22-23 season for violation of NCSA Rule 19.01.0. They forfeited 3 conference games during Week 9 of the NCSA Season.

SHU-RED PUNCHES TICKET

The first NCSA team to clinch a spot in the 2023 Regionals, are the undefeated Pioneers from the RED Team at Sacred Heart University.  After closing out an impressive fall season, SHU-Red will represent the North Atlantic North Conference in the North Atlantic Regional Tournament on April 29/30 after posting an unblemished 12-0 conference record (23-0 overall).

Congratulations Sacred Heart University-RED.

RAWLINGS NOVEMBER NCSA TOP 20

No change atop the rankings with Virginia Tech remaining as the #1 team in the November Rawlings NCSA Top 20!  While the Hokies remain #1, the gap is getting closer between them and #2, which is where Michigan State once again checks in.  Also, 4 other teams received 1st place votes and a number of teams made HUGE jumps including Wisconsin.  The Badgers go from unranked all the way up to the #6 spot.  Sacred Heart-Red makes a similar jump going from unranked to #10.

Georgetown University and Lafayette College have been placed on probation for the remainder of the 22-23 season for violation of NCSA Rule 19.01.0. Both programs forfeited 3 conference games during Week 4 of the NCSA Season.
