The Indy Invitational this year was filled with many great teams as well as competition! Crowning the University of Wisconsin after going 6-0 in Sunday pool play was well deserved! Congratulations to all teams that attending the Indy Invitational!

Valparaiso University and Stonehill College have been placed on probation for the remainder of the 22-23 season for violation of NCSA Rule 19.01.0. Both programs forfeited 3 conference games during Week 3 of the NCSA Season.

Virginia Tech stays on top in the latest Rawlings October NCSA Top 20 Poll.  After a few weeks of play, 5 new teams join the Top 20 and some made some big jumps while others had some falls.

Central Michigan makes their debut in the Top 20 jumping all the way to #10, while Wisconsin falls from number 11 all the way out of the Top 20.  Lot’s more movement in this month’s poll, so be sure to check it out to see where your team lands.

NC State wins the 2022 NCSA Peach State Fall Classic after upsetting the #1 seeded Georgia Bulldogs  3-2 in the Championship Game at South Commons Softball Complex in Columbus, GA.  NC State hit a 2-run HR in the top of the 6th to break the 1-1 tie and closed the doors after Georgia scored a run in the bottom of the 6th.  Congratulations Wolfpack!

The Peach State Fall Classic closed up Pool Play Day with a lot of great softball action.  Tomorrow the single-elimination portion of the tournament starts and a champion will be crowned.  Check out the full results HERE

The Hokies from Virginia Tech pick up where the left off…atop the Rawlings Preseason NCSA Top 20!  VT was nearly the unanimous #1 picking up 298 out of the possible 300 points but UGA and Florida State also picked up first-place votes.  Clemson and Michigan join Georgia and Florida State to round out the Top 5.

The facts are the South Atlantic and Pacific Regions have produced many National Champions.  From 2009 to 2014 (6 years straight), the National Champion was either from the South Atlantic or Pacific Region and out of the 15 NCSA World Series Tournaments ever held, 7 have been from the South Atlantic or Pacific, nearly half.  Will this be another year we see someone out of the South Atlantic or Pacific take home the hardware?  You be the judge!  Check out the South Atlantic Team Previews and Pacific Team Previews.

The Mid-Atlantic produced last year’s NCSA National Champion with Virginia Tech taking home the National Title in 2022.  Will they be able to repeat in 2023?  Who will join them in Columbus?  The Mid-America is also a formidable region with plenty of talented teams.  Arkansas State brought home the Natty in 2017 coming out of the Mid-America.  Can they do it in 2023 or will it be another teams time to shine?  Take a look at the Mid-America Team Previews and Mid-Atlantic Team Previews to decide.
